More than 19,000 tickets already sold for holiday show in Harrogate

The Great Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show returns next month.

More than 19,000 people are expected to descend upon Harrogate for the return of the Great Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show next month.

The number of advance tickets sold has exceeded 19,000 for the event which returns from 6th until 8th September.

As well as 18 major manufacturers of caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes, there will be a number of supporting exhibitors from Finance to Gin, alongside the Leisure World Shopping Village providing accessories.

The Show features a series of daily chat shows with professional dog trainer, TV presenter and best-selling author Graeme Hall ‘The Dogfather’, Retirement Rebel and author Siobhan Daniels and Peter Wright of Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet.

The shows will be hosted by television presenter Christine Talbot in Hall 1 on each day of the Show.

Little Bird Artisan Markets will also offer more than 70 stands, selling everything from local honey and clothing to dog treats.

The Market offers a diverse, quality, shopping experience celebrating independent producers and makers.

Show Chairman Peter Munk, CEO of Willerby Ltd, said:

“We are very excited about this year’s event. Ticket sales are going great. We have many additional attractions this year, from entertainment to crafts, as well as all the latest and most exciting caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes; so there should be something to appeal to all the family.

"Dogs are also welcome at the event, hence our choice of celebrities!”

The celebrities will appear on stage in Hall 1 on each day of the Show.

Graeme Hall is the long-standing presenter of Channel 5’s Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly which has also made its debut in Australia.

He is a Sunday Times Bestselling author of two books and a columnist for the Sunday Times.

He said:

“For many of us, dogs are a key part of the family and, as such, come on holiday with us. I’ll be providing some insight on to how to keep them on best behaviour while you’re on vacation.”

The Retirement Rebel is a former BBC TV and Radio presenter, reporter and producer Siobhan Daniels, who grew up in Leeds and trained as a nurse at St James’s Hospital before switching career when she landed a job at BBC Radio Leeds, later moving to Kent.

Approaching retirement and frustrated with her job, she made a decision to change her life again and got rid of her possessions and set off in her motorhome to find challenges.

Her adventures have led to her book, Retirement Rebel, with which she hopes to inspire women across the UK to explore their own potential for new adventures. She also hosts the podcast “Retirement Rebel: Life after 60” which has been shortlisted in the International Women’s Podcast Awards.

She is an impassioned advocate of the idea that age should not be a barrier to having an adventure.

She said:

“I want to encourage women to travel independently. I am approaching 65 and I am the happiest I have ever been and my outdoor life is very much a part of that.”

The line up is completed by Peter Wright, loved by millions as a star of Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet. Peter has spent his life working outdoors and has no plans to swap the weather for the sofa any time soon.

He said:

“Spending time outside in the fresh air and exploring is beneficial for everyone and caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes are a great way to achieve this so I am really looking forward to seeing what is new in the field.”

Also new for 2024 is a more flexible ticket offer to allow visitors to buy one ticket and attend on any day or on all three days.
