The family of inspirational Harrogate teenager Liz Hatton appeared on Good Morning Britain yesterday (Wednesday) to pay tribute to her.
Aspiring photographer Liz passed away last month after being diagnosed with a desmoplastic small round cell tumour (DSRCTs) - a rare form of cancer.
She captured the hearts of the nation when she was pictured hugging Kate Middleton after being invited to take photos at Windsor Castle.
And both her mum, Vicky Robayna, and her young brother Mateo joined presenters Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley on the ITV show to speak about the teenager and life without her.
Speaking about his sister, an emotional Mateo said:
“She was just outstanding. We are just trying to pull it together now that she is not really with us in the house at the moment.”
Vicky added:
“We are just trying to take each day and make her as proud of us as we possibly can.
“Some days are harder than others and some days we just get ourselves on a mission and try and do what she would have wanted us to do.”

A tribute was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel and Spa yesterday to remember Liz, including an exhibition of her photos.
Viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their views on Mateo’s “beautiful” tribute.
One wrote:
“What a beautiful, heartfelt tribute to his sister. You can tell this sweet boy was so proud of her.”
Another added:
“What an incredible family. My heart goes out to them, that’s so sad and so brave and inspirational at the same time.”
Liz’s family are aiming to raise £100,000 to donate to Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour Research.
