About Kirkby Malzeard

Our vision drives everything we do at Kirkby Malzeard.

We believe that our children should have the aspiration and opportunity to ‘Live life in all its fullness’ John 10:10 and ‘Shine like stars in the sky’ Philippians 2:15; to have the courage to act with kindness, patience, love and peace in all the communities they serve in.

Our aspirational curriculum, pastoral care and enrichment activities are all carefully planned to ensure that our children thrive both academically and emotionally and live out our vision.

At Kirkby Malzeard we offer spacious classrooms, a designated enrichment room and beautiful grounds which include a wildlife area, forest school zone, garden area, large field and a playground. We have wrap around care, a wide range of clubs and our own dedicated pastoral support officer.

We are a happy school, where we work together as a team and are extremely proud of our children, staff and school.

At Kirkby Malzeard we are committed to offering our children a high quality, dynamic curriculum which also includes many opportunities for real life learning and enrichment.

Mrs Harris is our specialist music teacher who also offers music or vocal tuition and Ian is our sports coach who teaches across school each week. We also take part in services at our local church regularly.

Our children have also enjoyed residential visits, joined with other schools to perform at venues as a choir, attended inter-school sporting competitions and have taken part in a variety of trips such as meeting authors, enjoying museum visits, virtual tours, cookery sessions, sewing clubs, art clubs, science workshops and much more.

Come and visit to see us in action, or take a look at our virtual tour filmed by our school council:
