Harrogate trains cancelled due to fallen tree blocking railway

Northern trains have been affected by Storm Lillian.

Trains through Harrogate have been cancelled due to a fallen tree on the tracks.

Northern has announced widespread cancellations of trains between York and Leeds this morning (Friday).

A tree has fallen onto the tracks due to strong winds brought by Storm Lillian.

The next available service from Harrogate is running towards York at 11:05am - although this is subject to change.

Passengers are being advised to check before they travel.
