A secondary school in Harrogate hosted a successful ‘Eco Week’ to encourage sustainability.
Last week, pupils from St Aidan’s CE High School brought in reusable water bottles, families donated pre-loved uniforms and the school held a sweet sale.
They also had a Car-Free/Walk to School day in partnership with Zero Carbon Harrogate, attended by Harrogate Town mascot Harry Gator.
All funds raised will be split between sustainable projects in school and Zero Carbon Harrogate.
And Headteacher Mrs Dover has promised that St. Aidan's will be making Eco Week an annual event.
With the help of Head of Geography Mrs Lennox, the student-led groups Eco club and E-Committee will continue encouraging staff and students to consider sustainability in all that they do.
