Pupils from Hookstone Chase Primary School brought festive cheer to the local community on Monday as they performed Christmas carols at Morrisons supermarket.
Their singing delighted shoppers and spread holiday joy, all while raising £386 for Resurrected Bites - a local charity dedicated to tackling food poverty and reducing food waste.
The children sang a selection of well-loved Christmas songs, drawing in a crowd of supporters and generous donations.
Mr Hughes, Headteacher, expressed pride in the pupils. He said:
"We are incredibly proud of our children for not only performing so wonderfully but also for raising money for such a vital cause.
“Supporting Resurrected Bites aligns with our school’s values of respect, responsibility and community spirit.
“It’s heartening to see our pupils actively making a positive impact."
Resurrected Bites, which operates across Harrogate and the surrounding areas, provides support to families and individuals in need through food redistribution and community initiatives.
This event was part of Hookstone Chase Primary’s broader focus on fostering a sense of social responsibility among its pupils.
The school remains committed to teaching its pupils the importance of giving back to their community, particularly during the festive season.
