Harrogate schoolchildren have been planting hedges to support some of the areas most-loved ecosystems.
Children across the Ripley CE, Beckwithshaw and Kettlesing Federation Schools have been planting hedges at sites including land near Pine Woods, Long Lands Common and the Ripley School Garden.
The children are focussed on supporting local conservation and ‘shaping a sustainable future.’
Sustainability Lead and Executive Headteacher, Miss Victoria Kirkman said:
“I am hugely proud of not only the children but the support from each school's local communities and parents/carers.
“Our Federation is committed to not only ensuring our children receive outstanding educational experiences, but that they have an impact on the World also.”
