Harrogate has been included in a list of the top 20 'happiest places to live' in the UK, published by Rightmove.
Harrogate named 12th happiest place to live in UK Harrogate has been included in the top 20 ‘happiest places to live’ in the UK. The list has been created by the Happy at Home Index and published by Rightmove. It asks residents how they feel about their area and was completed by over 26,000 people this year based on happiness factors. And Harrogate came in at number 12, whilst North Yorkshire’s only other entrant, Skipton, was ranked 6th. The town's average house asking price during this year was £394,085 and the average asking rent per calendar month was £1,448. Happiest Place to Live Some of the key trends from this year’s report include feeling a sense of pride, alongside a feeling of belonging and community. Having access to things like public transport, schools and job opportunities also added to residents’ feeling of happiness. Richmond-upon-Thames (London), Winchester (Hampshire) and Monmouth (Monmouthshire) made the top three.
