Harrogate girl with cerebral palsy wins Yorkshire Children of Courage Award A girl from Harrogate has been recognised for her outstanding sporting achievements at the Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards. 10-year-old Emily Caffrey, who has cerebral palsy, completed a triathlon challenge earlier this year to fundraise for the RAF. Emily's challenge, which combined a 50-metre swim, a 1500-metre bike ride and an 800-metre run with her walker, saw her raise more than £1,800 for charity. And following the amazing feat, the youngster was named ‘Sporting Superstar’ for children in the 0-13 category at the Children of Courage Awards.
