Harrogate estate agent joins NHS staff to fundraise for Harrogate Hospital Harrogate estate agent Verity Frearson crawled, climbed, ran and swam their way to victory in 'It’s A Knockout' at the Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity (HHCC) summer extravaganza earlier this month. The event was held at Harrogate Railway Athletic Football Club on 4th June to fundraise for the charity, and 'Team VF' were joined by NHS staff on the obstacle course. Verity Frearson Directors Matthew Stamford and James Verity, alongside Megan Sibson and Josh Burns from the sales department, competed with Sally O’Connell, Charlotte Thomas and Laurie Otto - Occupational Therapists from the Stroke Neuro team in Harrogate. [caption id="attachment_67583" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] Team VF taking part in the 'It's a Knockout' challenge.[/caption] Those born before 1980 will remember the British TV game show from the 1970’s and 80’s that was described as ‘school sports day for adults’. Teams went head-to-head to take on the challenge, working together as a team to complete the inflatable team-based games and complete the course. Team VF beat Harrogate Hawks by 2 points to take the top spot. Verity Frearson Director Matthew Stamford said:

"It was great to join up with the ladies from the Stroke Neuro department. I think that between us we made a formidable team. The Harrogate Hawks Rugby players were pretty tough but our NHS superstars are clearly even tougher!"

"What a fantastic day. We weren’t quite sure what to expect but it was so much fun! It was brilliantly organised by HHCC and hopefully the event raised lots of money. We can’t wait to defend our crown next year!"
