The 26-year-old powerlifter came out on top following the Official Strongman competition at Doncaster Dome yesterday (Sunday). Luke was making his long-awaited comeback following three years of injuries. He raptured his left distal bicep tendon at the World’s Strongest Man competition in 2021. But on his return, Luke was able to beat tough competition in the form of Kane Frances and Paddy Haynes, who came second and third respectively, to claim the title. A spokesperson for the event said:
“An incredible finish to the weekend of strength! The future is back, the future is now! “A massive thank you to all of our fans, athletes, sponsors and crew! This sport continues to grow with your support and passion.”[caption id="attachment_81036" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] Luke Richardson from Harrogate is officially England's Strongest Man.[/caption] Luke has been making waves in the powerlifting world since 2016, and that’s just one year after he started the sport.
