A Birstwith resident has received a special post-surgery treat from Mama Doreen's Emporium.
We’ve teamed up with Mama Doreen’s to celebrate Afternoon Tea Week by delivering afternoon tea to deserving people across the Harrogate district.
We asked for your nominations via our website, with a new winner receiving a special treat each weekday throughout the week.
And the fourth and final winner of the week is Anne Lilley, who was nominated by her husband Richard.
Anne suffered a fall 18 months ago when she tripped over a pothole in Birstwith.
Due to a covid backlog, she'd been forced to wait until late last month to have surgery on her ankle.
But as a post-surgery treat, Anne's husband Richard nominated her to receive afternoon tea from Mama Doreen's.
He said:
"Ann just had quite complex ankle surgery after tripping on a pothole 18 months ago and is now in a cast and using crutches, which is not helped by her severe arthritis.
"This little treat would really cheer her up!"
Anne received a special surprise in the form of Mama Doreen's afternoon tea, delivered by Your Harrogate's Pete Egerton.
