More Information (Your Harrogate is not responsible for external websites)
The Ripon Poetry Festival - now the biggest poetry festival in Yorkshire - is back with a weekend of poetry readings, performances, workshops and book launches for poetry lovers of all ages.
Sharpen up your poetry skills at workshops for adults and children. Or come and share your work at our open mic.
There are plenty of free events including a song-writing workshop with Mike Wilson.
We celebrate the best of local writing at our Anthology launches, showcasing the best of our competition on Saturday evening 24 September.
Kate Fox and Adisa the Verbaliser make very welcome returns to the festival, which also includes readings by Marilyn Longstaff, Khadijah Ibrahim, S.J. Litherland, Joe Williams and Vane Women, poetry workshops for children and grown-ups, an open mic night, the launch of this year’s festival anthologies, the adventures of Reggie from the Hedgie, and book launches by local poets Caroline Matusiak, Ian Clarke and Trevor Vaughan.
Visit their website for a map of all events and all the guests.
