Two people seriously injured following Kirk Deighton collision

Two people have been hospitalised with serious injuries after a vehicle collided with a stone bus shelter in Kirk Deighton. The 75-year-old driver and her 51-year-old male passenger both sustained serious injuries in the collision and were taken to hospital for treatment. The pair were travelling from Knaresborough towards Wetherby in a red Suzuki Swift at around 4:45pm on Friday 4th June. The vehicle then left the road when travelling through the village of Kirk Deighton. North Yorkshire Police is appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle prior to the collision taking place.
