As many as SIX crews of firefighters were called to an outbuilding that caught alight in Spofforth yesterday (Tuesday 15th June). Crews from Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, Acomb, Wetherby, Moortown and the water bowser from Tadcaster responded to an outbuilding fire which had spread to a nearby rubbish pile and a garden shed. Firefighters discovered a skip filled with cylinders had caught alight. (@russjenks999) [/caption] The incident occurred at around 2:13pm yesterday on Haggs Road, before being reported as extinguished at 2:43pm. It's currently unknown as to what caused the fire.
