A-Plan Insurance in Harrogate has launched a competition giving local youth organisations the chance to win five laptops.

A Harrogate insurance company has launched a competition giving local youth organisations the chance to win five laptops. A-Plan insurance on Princes Street is aiming to 'invest in the local community' by offering up five prizes to a worthwhile organisation for young people.

Chris Bishop, Branch Manager at A-Plan in Harrogate, said:

"It’s really important because the community has really been tested over the last year. I think we’ve all realised that a lack of contact with people is something that we fundamentally need, and I think our children have suffered quite a lot with that.

"We really wanted to get involved with the young people in our local community and we feel if we do that, we’re investing in the local community and building a brighter future."

He added:

"If you help run or volunteer for a youth programme, you work in a school or you’re a parent and want to be involved in the competition, we very much welcome that.

"We want to give away these prizes to help organisations improve what they can offer to our children and I don’t think that’s a bad thing at the moment."
