A study conducted by AQVA has revealed the best (and worst!) places in the UK to enjoy a spa day, as well as the best pamper destinations across the world. Harrogate achieved a 'pamper score' of 5.46 out of 10, narrowly beaten by Newquay which received 5.50 out of 10. Durham was the runaway winner, achieving a score of 7.59 out of 10. Here is the top 10: 1. Durham 2. Newquay 3. Harrogate 4. Bury St Edmunds 5. Bath 6. Edinburgh 7. Cheltenham 8. Manchester 9. Royal Leamington Spa 10. Exeter The research found 10 spas on offer in the Harrogate area, with an average of 1,025 spa-related Google searches per year per 50,000 people. Stoke-on-Trent was ranked the worst spa city in the UK, whilst Newquay is the city with the most spas in the local area.
